I’m so happy to be sharing Laura & Luke’s gorgeous weddings pics with you today. It’s certainly brought a smile to my face, on this dreary Wednesday afternoon. I hope you enjoy looking through them as much as I do. The photographer was Stephanie Green (my absolute fave North London photographer). If you’re after stylish, cinematic photos for your wedding day, check her out for sure.

ON THE MORNING – Laura got ready in this super cool Airbnb in Hackney, it’s probably one of the most unusual (in a good way) Airbnb’s I’ve been in. If I was to describe it in a short sentence, I’d say it’s got the vibe of a home in Palm Springs in the 70’s, but modernised. Whoever owns this home, they’ve got cool, quirky taste and it wouldn’t surprise me if they worked in the Arts. I mean, the backyard has a mini Palm tree in it, how epic is that!!!

LAURA’S LOOK FOR THE DAY – Laura has gorgeous thick hair (lucky her) and she chose to have glamorous, classic waves to compliment her minimal, silk gown by Cathleen Jia. Her stunning gold headband was from Oscar de la Renta. Headbands are such a great idea, if you are wanting to wear your hair down but have something a bit different/feel extra special on your wedding day.

For her makeup, she chose to have gold shimmery eyes and I gave her a soft winged liner to suit the overall look, whilst ensuring it suited her eye shape also. Like me, she’s a lover of a strong blush (yay). Her base was kept nice and natural, with plenty of highlighter in the right places (but not overly glittery). I used a creamy pink/nude lipstick to finish the look.

And the shoes, WOW! I love the feather detail on them. Not sure my wide feet would suit them, but I’d certainly give it a try! They are from Wandler.

What a gorgeous bouquet too, I love the pastel colours that Laura chose, so dreamy! The flowers are from Jam Jar Flowers.

THE CEREMONY – Laura and Luke exchanged their vows at Islington Town Hall. The venue is stunning, with it’s restored 1930’s features. The pictures speak for themselves. Stephanie is a regular at Islington Town Hall, so knows all the best places to get great shots. I’m massively swooning…..heats in my eyes and all.

THE RECEPTION – They had their reception at Luca restaurant in Clerkenwell. I’ve personally never been, but oh my goodness I’m certainly going to give it a go now. Not only does it have a gorgeous setting (check out the art deco style booths below) but the food sounds lush. The restaurant serves British seasonal ingredients through an Italian lens. My stomach is grumbling just thinking about it.

If you’re planning a wedding and looking for a hair and makeup artist, I’d love to hear from you. Tell me all about your vision for the day here.
